When My Aunt Died, 2003, by Yolanda
From MemoryArchive
Who: Yolanda and my Family What: My Aunt died because she was sick. When: In 2003 Where: At the Hospital
One day my Aunt Gloria was very sick. So she went to the Hospital. We saw our family in the hallway crying, we said "What's wrong?" The doctor said "she might not make it". But it was important because she was family.
It was sad because she wanted to see her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren become adults before she died. But it didn't happen. She didn't because she died. I wish she was still alive because she was nice. My aunt was so nice. She use to buy us anything we wanted. But if we showed off we knew we couldn't get anything.
The most interesting thing about my aunt is when she died on the x-ray. Now I think x-rays aren't good because my aunt died in one. My aunt was so so nice. She bought everybody stuff. I wish my aunt was still alive.
When we did the funeral and stuff, things went well. It was not pretty because her husband went back to Georgia and the group (choir) went to a whole other level. Like they said other people couldn't join the choir. They wasn't letting other people join the church. So we left. My mom, my grandma, my uncle, my sister and my brothers had left. So then they started talking about people in my family. They only called when they needed money.
I think my family is crazy now that my aunt died. I learned that it's not good to be sick all the time. Also I didn't like the fact my aunt had died. I think it was very sad.
