Part 1. Visit to planet Zork – abduction

It was a usually hot summer and my family and I were celebrating Christmas beach-side; Ma, Pops, Simon, Chaz and our little fox Terrier Pepe. The beach was deserted, it almost always is, even at the height of summer. A beautiful beach, stretched out on a remote South Pacific island. Cows moo; a 200 acre avocado grove planted by a reclusive National Geographic photographer with one leg (Burma, ‘73) tickle in te beeze, nearby. I won’t attempt to describe the great green mountains that appear to rise out of the sea – they are incomparable.

At 2pm Pepe began to run in circles. This was not at all unusual. Pepe was after all a Fox Terier (I am assuming the Fox Terrier still exist in your world, future readers of the great memory archive). At 2.30pm Ma, Pops, Simon, Chaz began running in circles. The sky darkened.

Several hours or days or centuries later, who could tell, I awoke in my Hawaiian beach shorts on a cool metal slab, 10000000000000000000000000 miles from Earth.
