It was an August weekend afternoon. In the house it was granny, Mr. Sam, my sisters, Spot and me. My granny had a thing for taking care of people and other things. It started with her home for the old, then my aunt began to take care of other people's kids, then my uncle started to take care of pants, and so on.

On a weekend afternoon and everyone was in the house. It was time for Mr. Sam to eat. Mr. Sam was blind so he had to get familiar with the inside of the house. Meaning that nothing could be moved in the house. While Mr. Sam was coming down the steps I was in the dining room, granny was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for Mr. Sam, and the girls were upstairs playing with their toys.

But the only one unaccounted for was Spot. Me, granny and Mr. Sam headed for the kitchen.
