Talk:The "Clicker," 1960s, by Marshall Poe
From MemoryArchive
I never saw a "clicker", but then there is much that I missed in North American "folklore", being in Europe during most of the sixties. Interesting how the "clicker" evolved to its present form, I wonder if dogs or other animals can hear the sounds from the presents ones? The powere does rest with the holder of the controller for the TV. My wife seems to accept my choice of programmes but I know I would be "edgy" if she was the one selecting!
Wow. Why don't we have clikers now? That would be a lot easier, considering that you don't have to worry about accidentaly going to On-Demand while trying to watch the Sci-Fi Channel.
