'Sunnyside'

Inspired By K.A.Armstrong

I called out your name under summer twilight wondering alongside the boardwalk searching near the lakeshore for a glimpse of Your haunting beauty

Resigning yourself to cast me a drift In nameless exile I walk towards Sunnyside Pavilion once again Taking me back into where I once was

I can't bear to remind myself How much I miss you, How much I need you During these enchanted afternoons For no one can hold a candle to you "Fifteen minutes with you, I wouldn't say no"

The distance between us, reminds me Where I'd rather be, to see you smile By the sound of your lyrical voice Would make time stand still I see you before me, standing so elegantly As the breeze takes you hair By the sunlight in your eyes I found love so devine

I walk by lazy sunbathers enjoying the pool As the sounds of summer play before me Like they once did all those years ago I keep my distance for I know true beauty Shall never be found again I'm lost searching for the past Let me back into a gentler time With your love inside my heart

The wind across the lake blows through me The Toronto Skyline is silent on the horizon My heart flys to you across the distance silence I'll meet you again, but I must be patient Beyond the passing of the seasons I'll wait to find you, again.
