'El Gatto Negro, Revisited'
Lyric For 'M.F.P', By [R.M.]
I returned to where we once were
It's been a few years
Since we meet ourselves here
Your aura still lingers here
I see your afterglow
I remember your dark flowing hair
With your dark eyes
As the light danced inside them
You spoke to me in glimpses
As I drank my cappuccino's
By your red wine
You looked right through me
How your beauty entranced
Me so invitingly that night
How I lost myself by you
Days away, months ago
It's been more than a year, I know
I've stepped back in time
Talk to me like you did before
The cafe window is occupied
With strange new faces
To see you here, would make me whole again
Winter wind chills me
As I walk down College Street
Retracing your invisible footsteps
I look around your nowhere to be found
See me, embracing emptiness
Find me, thinking of you
As you left me, forever
Remembering you
