I am doing a memoir about the dress code for myself and a couple others in my school. I go to school in a hick town USA and I dress so different I have my own dress code. Now, I’m from Springfield , OH, born and raised. I am totally an outcast at my school with my baggy jeans and some nice shirts that people around here would call gangster wear. I call it me and my own wear. My school goes for the pettiest stuff to get you in trouble; they’re just trying to get our group out. "Label us Notorious because not too many can bang with us!"

I have got in trouble for wearing 2 PAC shirts, Young Jeezy shirts, Notorious B.I.G shirts, and even the superstar himself Michael Jordan. I don’t understand why I can’t wear that stuff but the hick boys and girls that has this school full can wear their rebel flags and other racial stuff and not get in trouble. It’s kind of funny isn’t it? Seems to be my whole school is racist. That’s my freedom of speech that I never get to address in my own school. They got so many petty rules here it’s not funny but it only seems to apply to people of my nature.

I got one year left of school and I can’t wait to get out. I wish I could just switch schools because of what stupid punishment goes on here. I got too many friends to leave. It would be too hard. I’ve been waiting to get a chance to speak my mind and I think I got my point across and I thank my English teacher for that.
