The sweet aroma of Eric’s cologne drifting through the air, while I sit intently next to him. The speedometer lit with bright yellow and orange. The eye-catching flash of his diamond earring twinkling in his ear. His breathing rapid and crisp like the soothing early morning breeze in spring. The muffled groans from the engine echo inside the cab while we explore Washington. Fizz tingling in the back of my mouth making my stomach flip and churn. A sudden halt at Sunset Park to run around like wild animals. Running up and down the rocket slide. Slipping and sliding on the freshly laid dew. Turning around to run away from him like a bird from its prey. Suddenly an outstretched arm grabs my side and he leans in and gazes into my eyes. The sweat trickling down my neck while I pretend to be calm. His lips encountering mine making a heart-warming kiss makes my knees feel weak and my stomach get butterflies. The soothing feeling of being held, and held for an eternity. The feeling of love.
