My Favorite Christmas Memory
One of my favorite Christmas memories is when we had a hard snowy rain, which froze over night. In the morning after eating breakfast three of my brothers and I went sleigh riding. Even though it was cold and wet and nose drippings were frozen to our face, we had so much fun. Of course me being five and small, I got to ride in the sleigh while they pulled me up the hill. It was kind of funny because we got my oldest brother to ride down the hill first because he was the heaviest and so he would pack the snow down.
After he went, we would fly down the hill. The only problem with that is that there was a pond close to the end of the hill. Many of times you would have to roll off your sled so you wouldn’t get stuck on the pond. And the hardest part was when I did have to hike up the hill. I would have to stop 3-4 times to catch my breath before I reached the top. Sometimes we would have races to see who would reach the bottom first. And we would eat snow and ride on a sleigh together. But no matter how cold it was we would still be out side sleigh riding.
