I remember when I first met my best friend Jameria. When we first met, we were very little. As a child, I moved around a lot. It was hard for us to stay in touch and talk because I was always moving. I always had to make new friends. I kept telling my parents I wanted to move close to Jameria so we can become friends again and go to the same school. It was the summer before 4th grade. I did move again. I didn’t know where I had moved to. When I went outside, there was Jameria and her mom, making their way to my house. You could tell we were both nervous and didn’t know what to do. Jameria’s mom and my dad were talking. They were good friends because they went to school and grew up together; that’s how we met. Me and my brother were just standing there, playing around on a skateboard. Jameria looked lonely, so I asked her if she wanted to play, but she said no. So then the next day, she called me and asked me if I wanted to come over and play. I went over her house and we played. Ever since then, we were best friends reunited. When we first met back up again, we were both nervous and didn’t know how to react. After we played together, we got more comfortable around each other and as the years passed, we got closer and closer. We can always count on each other.
