In the year 2005, the worst storm in natural history struck the gulf coast. Katrina was a powerful storm that changed everyone's life. Katrina changed my life in many ways, it was a wake up call that life is very short, and tomorrow is not promised to us. My family and i was truly blessed to survive Katrina without any damages. As i saw my friends and love one's who were not so fortunate, it made me realize what i have I need to appreciate it, as if I never had it. I have an aunt who has a brand new house that was built right in front of the Escatawpa River, and when Katrina hit she flooded her house so bad.

I believe that Katrina was a wake up call from God. We better get our selfs together, the Lord will rain through this country in his name. Not only did Katrina bring some destruction but it also brought some good changes. Katrina brought more families, and friends together. Katrina made everybody realize time is precious and it needs to be used at all times. This is my memoir about Hurricane Katrina.
