How hurricane Katrina affected me. Well my mom owned a restuarant called Cathy's and Katrina destroyed it. The day after Katrina hit we went to go check on the restaurant. Well the way that our restaurent was is that it was down hill. So while my mom, my stepdad, and I were going to take a look at the restaurant we had to get on highway 90 and when we finally got to the restaurent we seen that we could barely see it. Thats how much the water was still over it. Well a couple of days after Katrina we finally were able to get to the restaurant and go inside it well we had to go through a window cause the door was blocked. When we went inside to take a look around everything was in a different spot except for two six packs of beers they were i think the lighest thing in the restaurant but were the only things that were in the same place as before Katrina and they weren't broke.

The restaurant wasn't the only thing that we were worried about during Katrina. My family and I were very worried about my mom. Just two days befor Katrina hit my mom was released from the hospital after being on her death bed and after the doctors said it was a merical that she surrvied. Also since there was very short supply of water that didn't help anything. Also seeing how Katrina swipped out the clinet where my mama got her medicane it hard for to find a place where she could get. But I thank god that we survied Katrina.
