Katrina had a huge impact upon my life. I had once lived in a peaceful neighborhood near Orange Grove and lived in a great house that we had just built from scratch only four years before the storm hit.

I had a very emotional connection with that house considering all the stuff I had lived through in only those four years, so of course losing it really hit me hard, not to mention losing almost all my possesions. It hit my parents the hardest though and put them in a deep depression state that it seems they might still be recovering from.

The neighborhood was a great place to live. I have lived on that road (Ceolia Taylor Rd) for my whole life and I felt that everyone in the area was almost family since I've known them as a kid, and seeing how much damage the storm did to such a perfect place was very sad to see, and to this day not one person has moved back to that area, which is supposed to be bought out pretty soon.

So yeah, there is alot more that the storm changed in my life, but that to me is the most important out of everything. Yeah, I lost alot of things like t.v, Playstation, Computer, etc. But, I can buy all that again, but I will never be able to see my childhood home as it once was ever again..
