Hurricane Katrina was one of the wrost hurricanes to ever hit the United States. Many people lost alot due to the hurricane but thankfully I didnt really get much damage. The most damage that was done to my house was alot of branches and leaves. I realized how lucky I was but many people were not. Even though i didnt get much damage,alot of my friends and family members did. It shocked me to know that a few of my close family members might not be alive anymore because of what happened.

If there was someone in my neighborhood that needed their yard cleaned I tried to help because I knew that they were in just a worst a shape as I was. It wasnt too easy living after the hurricane. We had no power or any water. I cant recall how long that took to get cut back on but it was awhile. I was very thankful for the people that saw that we needed help and came down to give a hand. They came with food,clothes,furniture,but mostly their support.Hurricane Katrina will be a time that Im sure no one will ever forget and that memory would be passed on.
