How Hurricane Katrina affected me. Hurricane Katrina was a very bad storm. The morning Katrina Hit South Mississippi was a very bad thing. My family and i woke up seen that katrina hit shore. So we was looking out side to see how bad the wend was blowing outside and whaen my dad open the door the door slamed in to the wall because the wind was blowing so hard. So my dad said lets get ready and go. So my sister and i when in the room and water was coming in from the back door so we told my dad and mom. So we got ready and left to go to alabama to get away from the storm. So we get in our trucks and leave the wind was blowing us all around the roads and trees falling in front of us. so we kept on driveing and we heard on the radio that there just come in a serge. so my mom got scard so we Kept on going. till we seen a rest place in alabama so we stade there for 2 houres and we left to go back home. We went across a brige and we seen two water spoute so we all got scaird. so we got on HWY 90 to go back home and we seen nothing but water and when we got closer to our house we seen that our house was all the way under water only thing that you could see was the very top of the roof and the rest was under water. So we went to cones oil to stay the night in our trucks. The next day we went on HWY 90 all day till the water went down to see what was left in our house that was good. Nothing was good at all. So people came down our roads looking to see if any body was died. The next day We stayed across the road in a stillets house to stay there untill we got some money to get another house. In a year later the ask did we wont the house. So now we live in that house still today.
