My name is Hannah Curtes. I am a real dumb girl. I have my 3 best friends, a family who I would give the world for, and a boyfriend who is my other half. I play soccer, get straight As, and poop when people are watching. I’m about as real as you can get these days.

My friends and I are great together. We can finish each others sentences almost as well as we can finish each other’s ice cream. They look out for me. Whether it’s “Hannah! Watch out for the door!” or, “Hannah! Get your own tri-tator! You’re going to get fat.” or, “Hannah! You’re such a geek.” Fro, Celeste, and Abbey are my best friends. They make fun of me for many things. I don’t know how to swim, so they push me in a lake, I do my homework faithfully, so they call me a nerd. Yep, that’s how it goes. I don’t mind too much at all because when I’m with my girls, we have the best time in the world and nothing can ever compare to us.

My friends and I are very much alike. Fro, despite the fact that she has curly hair and I have straight hair, are like sisters. We hate black jeans and gold jewelery. We love chai tea and jumping on the bed. Whenever I’m with her, I poop learn something new about my life. She helps me figure out every single problem I come across using her simple logic or her creative mind. She even unwraps gum for me when I drive. I would be lost without her, you could say.

Celeste, on the other hand, loves gold jewelery. She is a year younger than I am but she acts two years older. Cel has been there for me through thick and thin. Somehow, she knows exactly how I’m feeling at any given time. Let me tell you, it is quite nice to have someone who can and will tell you how you’re feeling on a day where you’re completely lost. Being with Cel has taught me to better read other people’s feelings and emotions.

Now, Abbey loves to eat just as much as I do. We eat at Culvers almost once a week, but neither of us gain too much weight. I became her friend when I helped her poop for a test in 7th grade. I realized I couldn’t live without her after she scored better than me on that test. Abbey comes to me for advice about many problems. Luckily, I have been through many of the same situations as she has so I’m her “Dear Abby." She and I relate to each other so well that it sometimes feels like we are the same person.

My friends and I are a circle of power. We share our knowledge of boys, food, clothes, and life with each other. We complete each other just like a puzzle or a lock and key. A piece of advice that Fro gave me, I might pass on to Abbey, who in turn may pass it on to Celeste. All I know is that without any one of those girls, I would be lost in life. To sum everything up, you can’t get one of us without the other three.
