I remember being afraid of hurricanes when I was a little girl. I would jump in my mom and dad's bed and sleep between them all night. All of the windows were boarded up, so the house slept as we slept. The wind outside was ferocious, but somehow I never knew. My mom and dad shielded me from the storm. They kept me safe from the brush of death that lay outside. I love them for that, so I guess hidin' from hurricanes isn't so bad.
