My first season of deer hunting was when i was 12 years old, the night before the first day of the season i got all my hunting gear and cloths because me and my dad had to wake up at 5:00 a.m. in order to be in the tree stand at 5:30a.m. so as soon as i had everything a needed for the cold morning i went to bed early so i wouldn't be to sleepy hunting, the next morning when we were walking to our tree stands it was freezing and very dark and with all our heavey jackets and guns it was hard to cross the wire fence to get in the woods then through the thick brush to climb up the stand. once i go tin my stand i loaded my gun as quietly as possible so i couldn't be heard by anything, once loaded i leaned back against the tree and began to scan the ground for any deer, but it was still to dark to shoot so even if i did see any deer it would be a difficult shot. A couple hours go by and I still didnt see anything or heard any shots from my dad. So I a ask my dad on the walky talky if he had seen anything he replied no, by this time i was getting a little cold but i wasn't about to leave for at least four more hours because i was determinded toget a deer. As the hours passed my dad got a doe and i saw a few deer but they were well out of my gun range. By this time is was about noon so we decided we would go home have lunch and return that afternoon. when we returned it was alot warmer therfore my trip back to my tree stand was a little easier to access it. i wasn't in there more a little more than a hour and i saw the first deer on my hunting season as i waited for it to come into range i became very nervouse, kept thinking dont move or do something stupid. It seemed like 20 minutes for the deer to come in range but it really was only like 5 i started to pull my gun up for aim and as soon as the shot presented itself i took the shot, after the shot the deer ran about 15 yards were it fell to the ground. it was my first deer season ever and to top it off I got a deer on the very first day.
