How Basketball Has Influenced My Life

Throughout my live I have always had one thing that made me happy and that I have always had fun doing. When I am playing basketball that is what makes me feel great. When I was about 3 I really started to enjoy playing basketball. Of course I had to play on a little plastic hoop that my dad bought me but it still felt as good to play.

I remember the first time I made a basket in the hoop in my driveway that was ten feet tall. Since then I have never liked any other sport more. I have played other sports but none of them have been as special as basketball.

I think that my dad was the one that first got me into the sport maybe because he liked it just as much. But I have never stopped enjoying the sport I think that as a began to play it competitively I think I just started to like it even more. When I was first on a team my dad was the coach and this is where I met a lot of my close friends and I just kept having more fun. I remember I played my first game when I was around 3rd grade and I never had more fun. Then when I started high school that was when I started playing everyday because it was more serious and we practiced everyday. My team was always one of the best around and that continued throughout and even last year as a junior we almost went to the state finals. When it is time for the year to come to an end I already know how it going to be a very sad moment for me because I know that I am not going to be able to play competitively anymore and never play on a team like I have for so long.
