Lately I have been doing a lot of thinking. Thinking about life- all the hard times, many nights of endless laughing, and everything else that comes along with it. Through life you know you have your friends. The ones you can always talk to, go to for advice, or just have fun. I believe everyone has one, maybe two, or even ten best friends.
The girls I am going to mention, as I like to put it, "You make new friends and they step into your life.. and then step out of your life, but there are always a couple that are set in stone. These girls are the ones who are set in stone." Laura and Myranda are my friends that are set in stone. Laura, we've known each other since we were just a few weeks old. Our families attend the same church so we met at a very young age. As our older brothers grew as friends we certainly grew up together. Laura has always had unconditional love and is always there for me whenever I need her. We have been through a lot of the same challenges in life, had to make the same jumps, and make hard decisions.
Myranda Cotant and I were in the same homeroom in 7th grade. Although we were in the same homeroom, from my memory, we hadn't really talked or gotten to get to know eachother until the night of our first 7th & 8th grade social. That night I wanted to have a sleepover with someone after the dance, and I ended up hanging out with her throughout the night so I invited her over. She did a lot of persuading and convinced her parents to let her stay the night at my house. Just from that first night we hung out, we have countless memories. I know I can tell Myranda anything that I wanted and she would not judge me for it. Also, my secret would be safe with her. She is my go-to girl and I love her for who she is.
I don't think that a relationship is perfect with out experiencing everything. Of course no one likes getting into fights or upsetting each other, but it is the way this world works. You have to disagree, fight, and argue. It is a part of life. I have had times when I struggle with friendships, but in the end we always make up, and those struggles may have hurt at the time, but only brought us closer in the end. I hope anyone can have as good as friendships with their friends as I have with these girls. I would say their my best friends but overall they feel more like sisters to me which is even better.
