Forgetting Something
It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas, toys were everywhere, and everyone was filled with joy of Santa coming that cool winter night. Not me. I was a seven year old starting to learn the cold hard truth of the real Santa Clause.
I would ask so many questions but no answers. I was devastated. Santa wasn’t coming this year or any other year for that matter. I almost cried. The thing that gave me the ultimate clue was the presents in our attic. Well, I went to bed distraught.
The next morning I got up and the presents were under the tree as usual. You would think I would be happy, but I wasn’t. Well the nicest gift I had received was a red Jeep. It was a little two seater that was battery powered. Wait, where was the charger?
My dad and I looked for hours for that thing. We finally found it on the roof. How did it get up here? Santa must have dropped it! He did come. It wasn’t just my parents after all. It was Santa Clause.
