The first memory I have is needing to sit up. I was laying in my crib and I felt myself choking. I saw the white crib bars and remember the cold. I was in a dark room and knew something was terribly wrong. I confirmed this with both of my parents years later and found out that at the age of 11 months I had pnemonia and was rushed to the hospital due to my face turning blue. I remember distinctly that I heard in my head "I gotta sit up!"
