It was a night no one will ever forget. Four men/boys lost there lives in what seemed to be a night of enjoyment for them which soon turned into a tradegy for all. It was a mid September night and although they may have thought it was a good idea to a take a turn at 105 mph which was supposed be taken at a mere 45 they would soon come to find out that it wasnt. I imagine as they sat in that corn field with each other they laughed because they were happy they were still alive, but then when the car blew up i wonder what went through there heads in the few seconds they were last with each other, did they turn to eachother and say there last words, did they hug, what did they do? It will always be an unanswered question that i want to know the answer to.
Later that monday afternoon as we walked into the corn field, i started to cry the instant i saw the blood spattered concrete and the tattered clothing that still lie in the field with the bits of car scattered for what seemed like acres.
So the moral of this is that dont take what you have for granit because in a matter of seconds it could be gone and so could your friends, family members or even those people that you dont know that well but still wish you had said something differently before they had left.
This is not as much a memory as it is a sad state in my life.
