One of the best memoires of mine is summer camping. My Dad and I went camping in July. It was very warm as it was the middle of summer. We were camping at the Delaware Water Gap. The first day there, we went in the river. It was just right because the water felt so cool, clean and refreshing. After the dip in the river, we decided to take a quick hike to the waterfall. Dad and I walked into the cool, moist forest. The leaves gave shade as we walked. Finally, at the waterfall we splashed around. Although the day was beautiful, night brought lightning, thunder and torential rain. I awoke the next morning to find my Dad had begun cooking breakfast over an open fire. After eating, I got dressed to go into a nearby town, Millbrook. We discovered it was like a ghost town as my father and I expored. I saw stables, old workshops, homes, churches and a small mill. We meandered through the old cemetary imagining the town that had been. That night, I lay awake wondering what the next days of our camping trip would bring. I am now filled with joy remembering those 3 days with my Dad.
