One time, in the horrible town of Verona, I was with my coolest friends, Leah, Callie, and Amanda. We were coming back from an ex-friend's house picking up some treats at the Kwik Trip for the ride home. Callie was driving, because she always is. She is usually a very responsible driver in all aspects, but tonight she did something she has never and will never repeat again.

As she was getting gas, me, Leah and Amanda were inside getting our treats. Callie came in later and we paid and left. As we were driving, about ten minutes away, Callie reached into her pocket and pulled out $20. She stopped the car immediately and sounded like she was hyperventilating. None of us knew what the problem was right away, but we soon found out that Callie forgot to pay for her gas.

As we were driving back to Verona to pay for the gas, she got a phone call from her mom. He mom said that the cops had called from Verona and said that she didn't pay for her gas. When we pulled up to the gas station there were already cops there waiting for us. Callie got out of the car, talked to the police and simply said she forgot and then paid.

I had always wondered what would happen if you didn't pay for gas, and now we know that you will never get away with not paying for gas. And I'm also glad that it happened, because it was one of the funniest things that has happend to me and my friends.
