Hurricane Katrina changed my life. The day I heard that Katrina was a catergory 5 hurricane I became really really scared my Mother, Grandma and I left to Panama City Fl. My father and Grandfather Stayed here at home. I was very very concerned about them. The news flashes on Tv had everyone scared but it all was the truth. After the storm was all over my mother, grandmother, and I headed back home.

We heard on the raideo that many streets where flooded and not there anymore... washed away.. gone. We get home to alot of damage done to homes, streets, stores, and even people, but luckly nothin was damaged at my home. Finally my Father shows up and we decide to ride to ocean springs where his family lived. We came to find that their entire home had been underwater everything they had was ruined.

Later that night we packed all that we could into my fathers truck and took his parents over to my grandparents home, witch may i add was not damaged at all. There they lived for about 3or more months. Everyday We would sit at home with no tv, lights, or even air it was very misrable. My family and I had a really hard time trying to get our power turned on just as many others did. My dad brought home a generator that he got from work and the generator made things in my home much better besides the fact that we had no water.

Well that is pretty much how Katrina chnaged my life. Im sure Katrina changed your lives in many ways and it has affected many people.
