Hurricane Katrina was a tragedy, which caused many people to loose their lives, and love ones. It was very sad, people where homeless for days, and those who never evacuated either was stuck on a roof, or swimming for there life. My aunt, who evacuated with us to Atlanta Georgia, returned home with 5 ft. of water in her house. Everything was gone, and her house was full of snakes and mud. It was sad to watch her cry about all her memories and the things she had, disappear in the matter of 2 days. She soon put a smile on her face because she knew she was blessed, and god would make everything better.
Katrina affected me by giving me a whole different point of view on life. The point of view that was brought to my attention was that materialistic things don’t matter, life is too short to be stuck on it, and god does things for a reason, and if he can do it, he can fix it. It also showed me that god is real and that if u just trust in him, he will always be there for you.
