Who: Jessica.
What: New Baby Horse!!
When: A warm, summer friday night.
Where: At my grandma's ranch, in New Waverly, Tx.

When I was 8, I remember going to look at my first horse. My grandma finally said I could get one, and there was a 6 year old mare for sale about 15 minutes away. I went with my grandma, dad, and brother. The owner just put me on top of her, and told me to kick her to make her walk. All she had on was a halter and a lead rope, and I was riding her bareback. That was the first time I've ever been on a horse, not a pony, a horse! I felt like a queen, and I didn't want to get off. I walked her around, not scared at all, and she threw her head up in the air, as the cool summer breeze cut through the air, giving that 90 degree weather, a summertime feeling! I felt so good, and new she was the horse for me. We bought her the next day, and i rode her as soon as we unloaded her at our house, her new home! We found out about 3 days later that she was pregnant, and I promised my grandma I wouldn't ride her when she was 7 months along. That time came, and she was wilder than ever. I was so anxious to see the colt, I thought I was going to die! 4 months later, the little, tan, fluffy stud was born. It was the middle of the night, on a friday, when my grandma came in my room and woke me up to go see the new baby, I was freaking out! As soon as I first touched that little colt's nose, and he lifted up his head, and nibbled on my hand, I knew he would be the best colt ever. I couldn't figure out what to name him, but an hour later, I knew! He was up, and running, and jumping, and bucking with every bit of spirit he had in him. "Buck", I said with a smile... "Buck".
